Itzen N. Orozco is an associate in the Orlando office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. He focuses his practice on insurance defense litigation, general liability, and personal injury litigation involving premise liability and motor vehicle negligence. Mr. Orozco also represents health care providers and long-term care facilities in both medical malpractice and employment-related claims. He handles employment law claims involving discrimination, whistleblower retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour, disability leave and accommodation including those under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). Mr. Orozco assists employers with employment policy development, training, and risk management. In addition to trial preparation, his practice includes negotiating settlement, conducting depositions, and attending hearings, arbitration and mediation.
Before joining QPWB, Mr. Orozco was an associate attorney with a large Florida insurance defense law firm where he represented employers and management in employment law claims involving discrimination, retaliation, unpaid wages in court and before administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Florida Commission on Human Relations.
Mr. Orozco received his Juris Doctor cum laude from Florida A&M University College of Law in May 2021 and Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Indian River State College, Fort Pierce, Florida in December 2017.
He is licensed to practice law in Florida.
Mr. Orozco is bilingual and fluent in Spanish.
