Juan F. Davalos is an associate in the Atlanta Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., where he focuses his practice on civil litigation, insurance defense, medical malpractice defense, and commercial litigation. With a background spanning multiple areas of litigation, Mr. Davalos has successfully represented clients in state and federal courts throughout Georgia.
Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Davalos worked as an associate attorney in civil defense, where he managed a diverse portfolio of litigation matters, including medical malpractice defense, premises liability, and commercial litigation. He has defended healthcare providers, hospitals, and long-term care facilities in claims involving personal injury, wrongful death, and negligence, navigating complex medical and legal issues to achieve favorable outcomes for his clients.
In addition to his work in healthcare defense, Mr. Davalos has extensive experience handling aviation law cases, representing commercial airlines in federal litigation involving multinational treaties and aviation regulations. His expertise also includes insurance litigation, where he has defended insurers, commercial businesses, and homeowners against claims for breach of contract, bad faith, and general tort liability.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Davalos practiced immigration law, where he represented clients in removal proceedings, asylum cases, and federal litigation involving immigration disputes. His work included drafting appellate briefs, filing writs of mandamus, and arguing complex immigration matters before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
In 2016, Mr. Davalos earned his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law, where he served as Notes and Comments Editor for the Emory International Law Review and graduated with Dean's List honors. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Latin American Studies from Miami University.
Fluent in Spanish, Mr. Davalos is licensed to practice law in Georgia and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
