Adrian L. Del Valle is an associate in the Lexington office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Del Valle focuses his practice on administrative and appellate law, general litigation, regulatory and compliance services, and transactional matters. His practice particularly emphasizes workers' compensation defense for self-insured employers, insurers/carriers, and servicing agents, appearing regularly before administrative law judges (ALJ) across various venues to litigate indemnity and medical disputes, as well as exposure, occupational disease, and compensability claims. 

He successfully passed both the Uniform Bar Examination and the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination with a score qualifying him to practice in all forty-one jurisdictions participating in the program. Graduating from the University of Kentucky Rosenberg College of Law, Mr. Del Valle garnered valuable legal experience as a legal extern for the Kentucky Public Protection Cabinet - Real Estate Authority and the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet. While taking extensive legal coursework in the areas of: Insurance Law, Employment Law, Federal Administrative and Tax Law Research, Administrative Law, Antitrust Law, and Federal Courts/Jurisdiction. 

His tenure with The Office of Legal Services of the Energy and Environmental Cabinet equipped him with a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, including the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Clean Air Act, and various pertinent sections of the Code of Federal Regulations. He also regularly attended enforcement actions addressing criminal and civil liability actions under the Clean Air Act where he provided legal recommendations for the Cabinets final disposition. Moreover, Mr. Del Valle was a frequent participant in Oil and Gas bond conferences with corporate counsel and administrative personnel, which granted him the ability to get a first-hand account of the players in the regulatory environment. Notably, he conducted legal research and drafted memoranda, addressing complex environmental litigation matters, including a federal circuit split concerning over-filing under RCRA. 

Additionally, he served as an Extern for the Kentucky Public Protection Cabinet, undertaking comprehensive legal research into regulatory, statutory, and constitutional matters. His responsibilities included attending Legislative Bill review meetings, drafting legal recommendations to the Kentucky Real Estate Commission regarding real estate agent licensure, and advising the General Counsel on various legal issues such as ultra vires exercises of statutorily granted power, 42 U.S.C. ? 1983 (West), agency deference, declaratory actions, covenant of quiet enjoyment, removal jurisdiction, and unconstitutional "void for vagueness." 

Mr. Del Valle commenced his journey with QPWB as a summer law clerk at the end of his first year of law school, gaining experience in appellate advocacy and brief writing for cases before the Kentucky Court of Appeals alongside QPWB's lead Kentucky Workers' Compensation Partner. He continued as a law clerk during the summer going into his third year, focusing on matters related to the Unfair Claims Settlement Practices Act, 42 U.S.C. ?1396 et seq, and gaining extensive experience with administrative agencies such as the Kentucky Department of Medicaid Services and the Kentucky Education and Labor Cabinet. 

As a first-generation law school graduate, Mr. Del Valle attained his Juris Doctor at the age of twenty-three from the University of Kentucky Rosenberg College of Law, following his Bachelor of Science in International Affairs from Florida State University which he earned with academic honors obtaining his degree cum laude.  He also managed to write a pro-Defendant thesis prior to graduating titled, "Perhaps the Founders Intended for Government to be Inefficient: The Case for Administrative Agencies Unconstitutionality and the Reduction of Federal Preemption in the Realm of Product Liability Regulation." Throughout his academic journey, he received numerous scholarships and awards, including the Provost Fellowship scholarship, the UK "Still We Rise" Scholarship, the honorable Joseph Green Memorial Scholarship, and a CALI award of distinction in Environmental Law an award that is only granted to the highest scoring student who contributed the most to legal scholarship. He was also selected by the Kentucky Bar Association Young Lawyers Division to receive a scholarship to study for the Kentucky Bar Exam. 

Mr. Del Valle is licensed to practice law in Kentucky and holds membership in the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA), the Kentucky Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. During his academic tenure, he actively participated in the Executive Board of Street Law, the Business Law society, and the Latino Law Students Association.
