Alan M. Bernover is a partner in the Chicago Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Bernover's practice centers on defending complex insurance claims, particularly in the areas of construction negligence, catastrophic loss, wrongful death, and employment-related litigation. He also brings extensive experience in professional malpractice defense, products liability, and trucking liability. He has successfully represented clients through numerous jury trials, arbitrations, and summary judgment proceedings in state courts throughout Illinois.

With over two decades of trial and litigation experience, Mr. Bernover has secured favorable outcomes for a wide range of clients, including construction companies, property managers, product manufacturers, and professional service providers. His courtroom successes include the defense of a homeowners' association in a tragic wrongful death action, which resulted in the full dismissal of the case, as well as a summary judgment in favor of an elevator manufacturer and mall property manager in a high-exposure trip-and-fall claim. He has also tried multiple cases to verdict and defended appeals involving complex liability and statute of limitations issues.

Recognized by his peers for his skill and dedication, Mr. Bernover has been named an Illinois Leading Lawyer annually since 2017, a distinction awarded to fewer than five percent of attorneys statewide. He was previously named an Emerging Lawyer and selected for the Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Stars list for six consecutive years in Civil Litigation.

Before attending law school, Mr. Bernover gained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Missouri - Columbia in 1997. He went on to obtain his Juris Doctor, graduating cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law in 2001.

Licensed to practice in Illinois and Florida, Mr. Bernover is also admitted before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Illinois. He is an active member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Florida State Bar Association, and the Chicago Bar Association.

In 2007, he completed the National Institute for Trial Advocacy's Litigation Skills Program in 2007 and continues to contribute to the legal field through articles on evolving topics such as COVID-19 safety standards and Illinois' prejudgment interest laws.
