Alia A. Najjar, M.D., Esq. is a partner in the Reno office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. As a licensed physician with general surgery training, Ms. Najjar uniquely blends her medical experience with her critical eye for detail to assess the most complex civil litigation issues involving personal injury, professional negligence, medical malpractice, regulatory compliance, contract agreements, employment, and administrative matters. Her client roster includes healthcare experts, insurance carriers, and long-term care and medical facilities, particularly in high-exposure cases.

Beyond her extensive litigation and administrative law experience, Ms. Najjar's surgical training equipped her with the precision to manage issues related to professional negligence, medical malpractice, personal injury, and licensing board matters. During her residency, she honed her skills at top-tier hospitals, conducting various surgical procedures such as cholecystectomies, appendectomies, herniorrhaphies, colectomies, and more. Additionally, she adeptly managed intensive care and floor patients with diverse medical and surgical challenges, showcasing her ability to handle complex situations--a skillset seamlessly integrated into her legal practice.

In May 2009, Ms. Najjar earned her Juris Doctor from the University of California Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall). Prior to her legal studies, she earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 2003 and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor in chemistry from the University of Texas in 1999.

Licensed to practice law in Nevada and California, Ms. Najjar is admitted to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California. Notably, she also holds a license to practice medicine in the state of Texas.
