Allen C. Macchiavello is an associate in the Tampa office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., concentrating his practice on first-party property claims, to include builders risk, stemming from disputes on insurance coverage, policy interpretation, and the application of policy exclusions. Mr. Macchiavello specializes in defending property insurers on claims involving windstorms, fire, mold, theft, and water losses. These include claims and lawsuits from businesses, condominium associations, and homeowners. His practice is also emphasized in the areas of civil litigation, personal injury defense, immigration, commercial liability, and workers' compensation defense.
Having represented some of the largest insurance carriers for commercial property, casualty insurance, and personal insurance, Mr. Macchiavello has gained significant experience in securing approval of health and life insurance products as a compliance analyst for a large compliance and consulting firm. In this role, he assisted with contracts and worked with state insurance departments, monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, including healthcare laws and regulations affecting supplemental health products.
In 2015, Mr. Macchiavello received his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Florida in 2003, graduating with a Major in History. He also received a certificate in paralegal studies from the University of Miami in 2010. While in law school, he was a student member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, Hispanic National Bar Association, and the Florida Bar Young Lawyers - Law Division.
Mr. Macchiavello is licensed to practice law in all state courts in Florida, and the Northern and Middle District of Florida. In his community, he has volunteered with Hillsborough County's Guardian Ad Litem Program, the Hague Child Abduction Convention, and as a collaborator to the Office of the Federal Public Defender.
