Amber Nichols is an associate in the Denver Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Nichols maintains a diverse defense practice encompassing insurance defense, nursing home defense, and medical malpractice defense. She focuses on representing insurers, healthcare facilities, and professionals in complex civil matters involving high exposure claims and professional liability disputes.
Ms. Nichols brings a well-rounded foundation in both civil and criminal litigation to her practice. Throughout law school, she worked with multiple government and private-sector offices where she drafted dispositive motions, conducted detailed legal research, and assisted in discovery and trial preparation. Her experience includes exposure to matters involving federal tort claims, appellate procedure, and insurance-related litigation, giving her insight into the full spectrum of the litigation process.
Ms. Nichols earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in Political Science and Criminology from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2022. During her time in law school, Ms. Nichols distinguished herself as a Managing Editor of the Sports and Entertainment Law Journal, Research Assistant on copyright law issues, and Academic Achievement Program Leader, mentoring first-year students in Criminal Law. She also served as a Student Trial Lawyers Association Coach, training law students in courtroom techniques and trial advocacy.
As a Student Attorney in the University of Denver Sturm College of Law's Civil Litigation Clinic, Ms. Nichols represented clients in civil protection order, eviction, and wage theft cases under attorney supervision. Gaining this hands-on experience not only strengthened her litigation skills but also reinforced her commitment to advocacy.
