Andrew Weiss is an associate at Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Weiss is a member of the firm's Business, Financial Services & Real Estate Division representing mortgage lenders, loan servicers, financial institutions, and corporate clients in complex real estate-related litigation and default matters.

As a seasoned litigator, Mr. Weiss has more than 20 years of experience handling Illinois mortgage foreclosure and consumer bankruptcy matters, with a practice that spans cradle-to-grave foreclosure litigation, contested motion practice, mediations, evidentiary hearings, and appeals. He has extensive experience managing both default and litigated foreclosure files, advising clients on strategy, responding to affirmative defenses and discovery, and navigating the intersection of foreclosure and bankruptcy proceedings. His background representing both creditors and consumers provides him with a practical, well-rounded understanding of how bankruptcy filings impact foreclosure timelines and enforcement strategies.

Throughout his career, Mr. Weiss has represented mortgages and servicers in state and federal courts across Illinois, regularly arguing dispositive motions, defending evidentiary hearings, and resolving complex title and procedural issues. He is experienced in working within high-volume, workflow-driven environments and routinely collaborates with centralized support teams to ensure efficient file management, clear client communication, and consistent case progression. His practice also includes advising clients on title curative solutions, bankruptcy stays, plan objections, and relief-from-stay motions.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Weiss handled all aspects of default and contested mortgage foreclosure proceedings, where he regularly argued and prevailed on contested motions, including motions for summary judgment, motions to stay sale, and motions to vacate judgment. His work included preparing complaints, motions, and pleadings for court filing, identifying and resolving title issues, and conducting detailed legal research to support motion practice and in-court advocacy. In parallel, Mr. Weiss has remained active in the bankruptcy arena as a volunteer attorney with LAF Chicago's Bankruptcy Help Desk, advising and assisting pro se debtors and creditors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 matters in the Northern District of Illinois. He also previously served as a Senior Associate Attorney with Upright Law, where he handled all phases of Chapter 7 consumer bankruptcy cases, counseled clients on complex legal and practical issues, represented debtors at Section 341 meetings, argued motions in bankruptcy court, and managed teams of paralegals while coordinating filings across multiple attorneys.

In 2004, Mr. Weiss obtained his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International & Comparative Law and received CALI honors for advanced legal research and drafting. Before law school, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from Trinity College.

Mr. Weiss is admitted to practice in Illinois and before multiple U.S. District Courts, including the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois.
