Anita S. Johnson is an associate in the Chicago office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Since commencing private practice in 1976, she has practiced in many areas of civil litigation. She was founding partner of a Chicago law firm and for 18 years practiced in the areas of labor and employment, workers' compensation, personal injury tort defense and defense of employer/management in third party tort litigation. Her practice focuses in these areas and includes all areas of civil litigation involving employment litigation, workers' compensation defense, and third party litigation. Ms. Johnson advises employers in analysis of issues involving insurance coverage, independent contractor status, indemnity agreements and construction and transportation concerns as well as claims handling, audits, and risk analysis.

Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Johnson was a partner with a premier litigation defense law firm where she practiced in Chicago in all her current areas of practice. Previously, she was a partner and chair of the Workers' Compensation Practice Group at a Chicago top-tier litigation, business and employment law firm where she worked for 17 years.

Ms. Johnson received her Juris Doctor summa cum laude from DePaul University College of Law in 1976 and Bachelor of Arts cum laude from Northwestern University in 1973.

Ms. Johnson is licensed to practice law in Illinois. She is a member of the Federal Bar and Illinois State Bar since 1976. Ms. Johnson is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Central and Southern Districts of Illinois, she is also a member of the Workers' Compensation Lawyers Association.

She serves her community as a member of the Catholic Charities of Chicago and Lake Counties.
