Anthony B. Vanicek is an associate in the Denver Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Representing clients in both State and Federal Courts, Mr. Vanicek concentrates his practice on commercial litigation matters, primarily defending global corporations in compliance issues. He conducts extensive research and drafts pleadings, motions, memoranda, and correspondence for the firm's general civil litigation practice, which includes commercial contract disputes, pretrial procedures, discovery, e-discovery, mediation, and depositions.
Before joining QPWB, Mr. Vanicek served as the Deputy District Attorney for the 17th Judicial District Attorney's Office and led counsel as first chair in over 35 jury trials. His trial experience began earlier at the 14th Judicial District Attorney's Office, where he managed hundreds of misdemeanor, juvenile, and felony cases from intake and charging to disposition. He also prepared and coordinated police officers, investigators, analysts, and other witnesses for trial.
Mr. Vanicek's background in international trade began in the Executive Office for the President of the United States as a U.S. Trade Representative. His duties included researching foreign government programs that might violate international trade agreements with the U.S. Additionally, he composed legal memoranda regarding conduct that might violate the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade.
In 2013, Mr. Vanicek graduated magna cum laude from John Cabot University in Rome, Italy, with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and a minor in Business Administration. He furthered his education at Georgetown University Law Center, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2016.
Mr. Vanicek holds an active bar license in Colorado and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado and the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit. He is fluent in Portuguese and Italian, and proficient in Spanish.
