Ashik R. Jahan is a partner in the Atlanta office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. He is the National Practice Group Leader of the firm's immigration practice where he focuses on representing and advising businesses, organizations, investors, individuals, and families in obtaining temporary and permanent work authorizations, immigration status and visas. Mr. Jahan has comprehensive experience with a full range of employment-based immigration, including H-1B, L-1, TN, P-1, O-1, R-1, E-2, E-3 and other categories. His experience also includes obtaining labor certifications (EB-2 and EB-3) and EB-5 investment, EB-1 (multinational managers and extraordinary ability) as well as national interest waivers and J-1 waivers.

Mr. Jahan develops appropriate strategies to obtain the necessary nonimmigrant visa classification to permit employment authorization for the transferred employees and their dependents, obtaining the required approvals from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and the issuance of the visa to the employee and his or her dependents from U.S. Consulates abroad.

He works closely with companies on complex challenges associated with I-9 and E-Verify employment verification, enforcement actions and LCA compliance, and provides proactive strategies and training to HR team members.

Mr. Jahan's practice also includes representing employers and insurers in workers' compensation claims in the state of Georgia.

Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Jahan was a shareholder and Immigration Practice Group Leader with an Atlanta, Georgia law firm where he practiced in the areas of immigration and workers' compensation defense for over 13 years.

Mr. Jahan received his Juris Doctor from Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in May 2007 and Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University in May 2004.

He is licensed to practice law in Georgia.

Mr. Jahan also speaks Bengali.
