Barbara R. Schabert is an associate in the Orlando office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Her practice focuses on labor and employment matters, immigration, and intellectual property disputes. Additionally, Ms. Schabert navigates a spectrum of defense matters, including legal malpractice, professional negligence, medical malpractice, health care defense, E&O and D&O matters, premises liability, automotive liability, and personal injury defense. 

Ms. Schabert oversees direct case management from pre-suit claims through litigation proceedings. She plays a pivotal role in trial preparation, offering expertise in case theories, opening arguments, witness examination, admissibility of evidence, jury instructions, and post-trial motions. Noteworthy achievements include securing a defense verdict in a state court jury trial and leading arguments in a two-week Federal court preliminary injunction evidentiary hearing. 

Ms. Schabert received her Juris Doctor from New York Law School in 2012 and continued her legal studies there where she received a Master of Law in Taxation in 2014. Before attending law school, she earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Florida in May 2009, graduating with a major in business administration, finance, and accounting. 

While in law school, she was a summer associate with a Miami law firm and a New York City law firm. She participated in settlement negotiations in civil law proceedings on wrongful death matters; and in New York, she collaborated in drafting various motions concerning bankruptcy proceedings and handled all stages of discovery documents. 

Licensed to practice law in Florida and New York, Ms. Schabert is admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Southern District of Florida, and the U.S. Court of Appeals - Eleventh Circuit. She is a member of the New York and American Bar Associations.
