Brian D. DeGailler is a partner in the Orlando office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. For over 40 years, Mr. DeGailler's practice has consisted of the representation of insurance carriers and their insureds, as well as self-insured corporations, and governmental entities in the defense of property damage, personal injury and wrongful death cases, and litigation against those entities involving commercial liability, statutory liability, premises, product, and professional liability, including asbestos, silica and other toxic exposure litigation, insurance, labor and employment liability, civil rights, and consumer issues in state and federal courts, on both trial and appellate court levels.
Mr. DeGailler has been a practicing member of the Florida Bar since 1979 and is also a member of the State Bar of Texas, and is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, and an elected member of the Seminole Inn of Court.
Mr. DeGailler has been approved and certified by the Education Section of the Florida Department of Financial Services as an instructor of Adjuster Law and Policy courses for continuing education credit, and is available to instruct courses approved by the Florida Department of Insurance for Florida licensed adjusters.
Mr. DeGailler received a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in political science from Syracuse University in 1976 where he was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha Honorary Society. He earned his Juris Doctor from Tulane University School of Law in 1979.
Mr. DeGailler has received the Guardian ad Litem Award of Excellence by the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association in recognition and appreciation for his dedicated service by pro bono representation of poor, abused and neglected children in Orange County, Florida. He has also been very active in the Central Florida community including his eleven years of service as an Executive Committee member of the Board of Directors of Restore Hope Orlando, Inc.
