Brandi Wilson is an associate in the firm's Business, Financial Services and Real Estate Division in Tampa, Florida. Since 2012, she has been representing clients in all aspects of foreclosure litigation throughout the state of Florida, including contested and uncontested trials, mediations, depositions, discovery and motion practice, hearings, fair debt and collection act defense, conciliation conferences, and title clearance matters. Her experience includes both contested and uncontested trials, as well as discovery and motion practice. Ms. Wilson offers her clients advice on how to remain in compliance with state and federal consumer financial laws and regulations, as well as loss mitigation in relation to mortgage foreclosures, bankruptcy, debt collection, and compliance with laws such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act (FCCPA).
Before joining QPWB, Ms. Wilson worked as a senior litigation attorney at a boutique law office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she represented financial institutions in mortgage foreclosures, bankruptcy, debt collection, and all of her current areas of practice. Ms. Wilson defended and brought appellate actions in five different appellate districts, and she defended on appeal in the Fifth District Court of Appeals through oral argument. Earlier in her career, she held positions at two law firms in Florida, where she represented clients throughout the entirety of the foreclosure litigation process.
Ms. Wilson received her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 2012, a Master of Arts in History in May 2007 from the University of South Florida where she also received her Bachelor of Arts in History in May 2003. While in law school, Ms. Wilson received the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award.
Ms. Wilson is licensed to practice law in Florida.
