Bryan J. Brockington is an associate in the New York office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., where focuses his practice in the areas of insurance defense, personal injury litigation, general liability defense, workers' compensation defense, motor vehicle negligence, premises liability, professional liability, construction defect claims, residential and commercial closings, and landlord/tenant matters.
Prior to QPWB, Mr. Brockington provided criminal defense for defendants charged with domestic violence crimes including representation at arraignment hearings through trial, including discovery and motion practice, negotiation of plea offers and the production of evidence and exhibits for trial. He also worked on family law matters litigating matrimonial actions in child custody proceedings. Previously, he commenced his own practice successfully litigating against Fortune 400 companies, Municipal Agencies, and individual insureds in New York State and Federal Courts, including Federal Jury trials for over five years. Throughout his private practice, he counseled clients on credit matters including filing bankruptcy and negotiated loan modifications and conducted residential and commercial closings including standard and CEMA loans.
Since 2012, Mr. Brockington has specialized in handling diverse insurance and personal injury claims involving commercial general and auto liability, bodily injury, slip and falls, property damage, coverage analysis, mass tort and catastrophic injury claims in various jurisdictions throughout the U.S. He has managed audits for settled claims and assessed both the environmental impact and personal injury damages for toxic spills of MTBE from pipelines, storage tanks, and railroad transport carriers. Before practicing law, he was a senior adjuster for multiple insurance companies in New York settling over 100 claims and suits with a maximum settlement value of $3 million dollars and adjusting heavy equipment claims involving backhoes, excavators, bulldozers, cranes, lifts, and bucket trucks for general contractors on construction site accidents.
Mr. Brockington received his Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo Law School, State University of New York in Amherst, NY, and his Bachelor of Arts from The City College of New York. He is licensed to practice law in New York and is admitted to the Northern, Eastern, Southern & Western District Courts of New York.
