Bryan R. Williams is a partner in the New York office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A.  Mr. Williams practices in all aspects of commercial litigation with emphasis in tort defense, real estate and banking litigation. Utilizing his relationships with developers, holding companies and financial institutions, Mr. Williams does real estate transactional work, including contracts relating to the sale and leasing of residential and commercial properties. He has been engaged in private law practice in New York City for 39 years; is keenly aware of the importance of understanding his clients' needs and business objectives and has significant jury trial experience in both state and federal level and in arbitration.  Mr. Williams' representations include small to mid-size businesses, major corporations, emerging businesses, municipalities, government agencies, nonprofits, charitable and religious organizations, industry executives and high-net-worth individuals.  

Prior to QPWB, Mr. Williams formed the law firm of Pettus & Williams PLLC, established in New York City in 2005.  With knowledge of the various subsidy programs and rent regulations in New York State, in his practice, he represented commercial owners and landlords, building owners and management companies, real estate sellers, buyers, developers, builders in condominium conversions, banks, zoning and tax issues, and leasing, encompassing both for profit and not for profit entities. Previously, he represented clients in commercial, construction, insurance and health care litigation arguing cases before state and federal courts including the New York Appellate Division. He has also represented clients in anti-trust, negligence, merger and acquisition litigation and criminal appeals as an attorney with one of the largest law firms in the U.S. based in Wall Street.  Mr. Williams commenced his legal career in 1981 as an assistant district attorney with the Manhattan District Attorney's Office.

Since 1996, Mr. Williams has been a member of the New York State Board of Law Examiners, a five-person board appointed by the New York Court of Appeals and responsible for the preparation, grading, and administration of the New York State Bar Examination.  He is an active member of the National Conference of Bar Examiners, composed of bar examiners from states throughout the country.

Mr. Williams received his Juris Doctor cum laude from Howard University School of Law, Washington, D.C. in 1981 and Bachelor of Science from Tennessee State University in 1978, majoring in Government and Public Affairs and serving as President of the Student Government Association.   While in law school, he was a member of the Howard University Law Journal. A life member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, he is active with the fraternity's New Rochelle-White Plains Alumni Chapter and is a former chairman of the Fraternity's New York Alumni Scholarship Foundation.

Mr. Williams is licensed to practice law in New York and the District of Columbia and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Mr. Williams is active in and devoted to the communities in which he serves and participates in various community and professional organizations. He is a member of the Board of Deacons of the Canaan Baptist Church of Christ in Harlem; a former member of the Board of Managers for Harlem YMCA; and is a former guest legal expert commentator for Courtroom Television Network.
