Cara B. Schlosser is an associate in the Atlanta Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., advising clients on estate planning strategies to preserve wealth, minimize tax liability, and ensure orderly distribution of assets. Ms. Schlosser has represented executors, administrators, and beneficiaries in all stages of complex civil cases, specifically in probate administration matters, from petitioning the court to final asset distribution since commencing practice.
Ms. Schlosser gained significant experience as a Staff Attorney for a Georgia Superior Court before joining QPWB. She assessed court proceedings, evaluated oral arguments, and assisted the judge in evaluating evidence and applicable laws. Additionally, she served as court liaison for attorneys and pro se litigants, responded to legal questions and coordinated communication with the judge.
Early on in her practice, Ms. Schlosser counseled clients on guardianship, conservatorship, and incapacity planning for aging or vulnerable family members. She regularly advised clients on estate planning strategies to preserve wealth, minimize tax liability, and ensure orderly distribution of assets. Drafting comprehensive estate planning documents including wills, trusts (revocable, irrevocable, special needs), powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives has been the foundation of her practice.
Ms. Schlosser's educational background includes earning her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2019, where she served as Articles Editor for the South Carolina Law Review and was a Dean's List honoree. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from the University of Georgia in 2015.
Licensed to practice law in Georgia, Ms. Schlosser is admitted to the Supreme Court of Georgia, Georgia Court of Appeals, and the Middle District of Georgia.
