Carmen Bickerdt is a partner in the National Products Liability and Toxic Torts Practice Group for Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Licensed to practice law exclusively in Michigan, Ms. Bickerdt will be working out of our Orlando hub. She represents multiple domestic and international motor vehicle manufacturers, managing high-stakes litigation involving severe personal injury, component parts, autonomous vehicle technologies, and breach of warranty claims. With over 20 years of experience, she concentrates her practice on product liability, automotive liability, and toxic torts, including asbestos litigation. Her practice also encompasses trucking and transportation, general liability, commercial liability, and premises liability matters.
Ms. Bickerdt represents clients across a broad spectrum of dispute types, including trucking accidents, company car claims, and coordinated mass actions geared toward mitigating institutional exposure and protecting client reputations. She brings deep experience to the defense of product manufacturers and suppliers involved in toxic tort and asbestos personal injury litigation, having successfully protected clients in numerous jurisdictions throughout the United States. Her versatile litigation background also encompasses defending non-automotive corporations against commercial, general liability, subrogation, and premises liability claims.
Throughout her career, Ms. Bickerdt has served as trusted counsel to a highly diverse roster of corporate clients, including industrial equipment manufacturers, global appliance brands, medical device companies, national retailers, hotel chains, energy utility providers, and companies operating within the electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) and alternative tobacco sectors. Her comprehensive defense approach combines precise technical insights with robust trial strategies to resolve challenging exposures effectively.
In 2003, Ms. Bickerdt earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School, where she was honored as a Bronze Certificate Recipient. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan in 2000.
She is licensed to practice law in Michigan, and she is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan.
