Cassius R.P. Borel is a partner in the Tampa office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. With over two decades of experience, Mr. Borel is a seasoned litigator who has defended corporate entities, federal agencies, school districts and individuals in complex civil matters across state and federal jurisdictions. He focuses his practice on state and federal litigation matters involving personal injury defense, premises liability, insurance defense, labor and employment matters , civil rights, products liability, negligent security, and Civil Litigation.
Mr. Borel's professional background is defined by a deep immersion in both government and private sector defense. He recently served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas, where he represented federal agencies and employees in sensitive matters involving employment discrimination, civil rights, and medical malpractice. His experience also includes serving as Lead Litigation Counsel for a major insurance company, where he oversaw a substantial portfolio of files and coordinated all aspects of the litigation process
In 2003, Mr. Borel obtained his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center. Prior to his legal studies, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Alabama. His early career was marked by significant public service as an Assistant State Attorney in Fort Myers, Florida, where he managed all aspects of criminal prosecution for misdemeanor and felony cases through trial.
Mr. Borel is licensed to practice law in Florida and is admitted to the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Middle District of Florida and the Western District of Texas.
