Christa Chance is a partner in the National Products Liability and Toxic Torts Practice Group of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., bringing nearly 30 years of litigation experience to the firm. She focuses her practice on defending clients in complex personal injury, toxic tort, class action litigation, and product liability disputes across Texas.
Ms. Chance has extensive experience managing mass actions and multi-district litigation (MDL) cases across the United States. She serves as national coordinating counsel for asbestos litigation and has extensively defended clients against exposures involving silica, benzene, and other hazardous substances. Her work spans initial risk assessments and case evaluations through intensive trial preparation and the appellate process, ensuring that litigation strategies directly align with her clients' primary goals.
A significant portion of her practice involves navigating intricate scientific, environmental, and technical issues. In preparing, deposing, and cross-examining expert witnesses, Ms. Chance has developed deep technical knowledge across key disciplines, collaborating closely with engineers, industrial hygienists, epidemiologists, pathologists, and treating physicians to distill complex data into persuasive legal arguments.
In 1995, Ms. Chance earned her Juris Doctor from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Texas Tech University in 1992.
She is licensed to practice law in Texas and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas.
