Christopher Slick is Senior Counsel in the Nashville office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Slick is an accomplished appellate attorney with extensive experience briefing and arguing cases before state and federal appellate courts. His practice focuses on insurance coverage litigation and appeals, product liability, legal malpractice, labor & employment, administrative law, and complex commercial litigation.
Throughout his career, he has initiated and defended numerous insurance coverage lawsuits across multiple jurisdictions, including Tennessee, Illinois, Kentucky, Texas, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Montana, New Jersey, and New York. He possesses significant experience in all phases of litigation, from drafting coverage opinions and dispositive motions to conducting expert witness depositions and trial preparation. Furthermore, his background includes securing major trial and appellate victories in complex commercial and products liability matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Slick served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Division of Civil Appeals for the Office of the Attorney General of Illinois, where he filed approximately 70 appellate briefs and argued several published cases involving employment discrimination, administrative law, and constitutional issues. He also gained invaluable judicial perspective serving as a law clerk for Justice Robert R. Thomas at the Illinois Supreme Court and for Judge George W. Lindberg at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
In 1997, he earned his Juris Doctor from Notre Dame Law School in 1997, where he participated in the Legal Aid Clinic and International Moot Court. He graduated from Baylor University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts in German and History.
Mr. Slick is licensed to practice law in Tennessee. He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh and Tenth Circuits, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, and Central Districts of Illinois.
