Cory Carter is an associate in the Orlando office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Carter manages cases from inception through resolution, with experience handling all phases of discovery, taking depositions, and appearing in court for hearings and trial preparations. His practice focuses on personal injury defense, general liability, insurance defense litigation, and contractual disputes.
Mr. Carter's professional background is characterized by a strong foundation in both defense litigation and civil matters. He is skilled in drafting and arguing dispositive motions and provides critical coverage opinions and liability assessments to carriers and insureds. His expertise extends to trial preparation, where he handles the development of exhibit lists, witness preparation, and the drafting of persuasive trial briefs and legal memoranda. Prior to his current focus, he gained experience in probate matters, estate planning, contract disputes, and real estate litigation.
Beyond his legal practice, Mr. Carter is a proven leader with a strong history of community involvement, including volunteering his time with the Athens Food Bank and Downtown Academy. His background in economics provides him with a unique analytical lens when evaluating case exposure and financial impacts for his clients.
Mr. Carter earned his Juris Doctor from Florida A&M University College of Law in Orlando. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from the University of Georgia.
