Craig Sargent

Craig Sargent is a partner in the Denver office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Sargent brings over 35 years of extensive trial and litigation experience across multiple disciplines. Craig Sargent has been a trial attorney since 1988 concentrating in the defense of health care professionals and facilities in professional liability cases.  His practice includes malpractice defense, representing physicians and other healthcare providers in disciplinary actions, medical practice management, drug and medical device litigation, HIPAA, and other general medical practice issues.  Craig also represents clients in catastrophic injury cases, correctional medicine, trucking and transportation, and in general business litigation matters. Craig has handled numerous cases in state and federal courts throughout Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming and has represented clients around the country. Craig also has handled cases in front of the Colorado Court of Appeals and Colorado Supreme Court.

Craig has worked as a mediator over the years, negotiating settlements in a number of complex cases.  Because of his reputation as an excellent trial attorney, Craig also serves as a trial and litigation consultant, including all aspects of pre-trial matters, development of discovery and trial strategies, witness/expert witness selection, witness preparation, deposition strategies, jury consulting, and trial monitoring.

Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Sargent spent decades as a shareholder and member at prominent regional defense and litigation firms in Denver, building a comprehensive practice advising healthcare entities, corporations, and insurers through complex liability exposures and regulatory issues.

Mr. Sargent is an active leader across multiple prominent legal associations, including Past President of the Colorado Defense Lawyer Association. He is an invited lecturer for local and national legal and medical organizations on issues involving medical practice management and medical malpractice defense.

In 1988, Mr. Sargent earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver - Sturm College of Law. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from The Ohio State University in 1984.
