D. Scott Rendleman is a partner in the Denver office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. For nearly 30 years as a trial attorney, Mr. Rendleman has represented all levels of the healthcare industry: healthcare networks, hospitals, physicians, nurses, other healthcare providers and professional staff. He has tried cases in the federal and state courts and in Colorado Administrative Courts. Most of Mr. Rendleman's trials have involved catastrophic injuries or death, with damage claims frequently exceeding policy limits.  Mr. Rendleman represents professionals, individuals  and small to mid-size businesses in matters alleging  physician and nursing malpractice, willful and wanton conduct, civil rights violations, product defect, construction defect and general liability claims.

Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Rendleman was a partner in the Denver office of a boutique national healthcare defense law firm, serving as lead trial counsel for healthcare providers throughout Colorado. He also represented physicians, dentists and nurses before their professional disciplinary boards. He mentored associate attorneys in developing legal writing, case strategy and trial performance skills. Mr. Rendleman's diverse clientele has included multiple large university-based hospitals and healthcare networks, physician-owned insurance exchanges, and multiple national insurers.

Prior to moving to Colorado, Mr. Rendleman was partner in a Chicago law firm, where he represented businesses and medical professionals in wrongful death and significant injury lawsuits. Drawn to the state's outdoor lifestyle, he moved to Colorado in 2011, where he continues his career as a medical industry defense trial attorney.

Mr. Rendleman earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1993 and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University in 1990.

He is licensed to practice law in Colorado, Wyoming (inactive), Missouri (inactive), and Illinois (inactive), and is a member of the Litigation Division for the American Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association, the Boulder County Bar Association and DRI.
