David Afahame is an associate in the San Francisco Bay hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. His practice focuses on civil litigation, construction defects and litigation, contractual disputes, employment, landlord and tenant, privacy, and intellectual property.
Having extensive experience across multiple roles, Mr. Afahame has represented clients in First Amendment litigation, where he was instrumental in litigating First Amendment claims against government entities. He has also counseled individuals and organizations on privacy, securities, labor, and intellectual property and internet matters, guiding them through intricate legal frameworks. Before joining QPWB, Mr. Afahame represented hundreds of clients in employment disputes and successfully resolved many of the disputes, including attaining favorable settlements for his clients.
Mr. Afahame earned his Juris Doctor from Golden Gate University School of Law (GGU), with specialization certificates in Business Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Privacy Law. At GGU, he was a moot court board member and served as the vice president of the Intellectual Property and Privacy Law Association. In May 2023, Mr. Afahame obtained a LL.M. (Master of Laws) in Privacy Law and Cybersecurity from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where he was awarded the Dean's Academic Excellence Award Scholarship as well as earned a certificate in Technology & Entrepreneurship Law.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, he is a member of the Bar Association of San Francisco's Intellectual Property and Privacy sections. He also actively provides pro bono services through the American Bar Association Free Legal Answers™️ platform.
