David G. Myers is an associate in the Scottsdale office at Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. With a focus on general liability defense, Mr. Myers brings expertise in professional liability matters and the defense of various personal injury and negligence claims. His practice also extends to advising healthcare institutions on internal compliance and pre-litigation concerns, including civil rights ?1983 claims.
Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Myers honed his skills as an associate attorney at a prominent commercial litigation firm in Chicago. There, he provided counsel and defense to diverse business entities, particularly in the aviation and transportation sectors, navigating both domestic and international legal landscapes. His experience encompassed a broad spectrum of issues including contracts, leasing, construction, cargo, federal regulations and compliance, licensing, product liability, and personal injury.
Before transitioning to private practice, Mr. Myers served in the Trial Division of the Cook County State's Attorney's office, where he prosecuted criminal offenses. During his tenure, he successfully first-chaired over 50 bench trials and argued numerous Fourth Amendment hearings. Additionally, he contributed to appellate advocacy, drafting briefs on a range of criminal matters.
Mr. Myers earned his Juris Doctor with highest honors, summa cum laude, from DePaul University College of Law, Chicago, Illinois, in May 2018. He holds a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in international business from Illinois Wesleyan University. While in law school, he distinguished himself as an editor for the DePaul Law Review and gained valuable experience as a judicial intern with the Illinois Appellate Court, First District.
Licensed to practice law in Arizona and Illinois, Mr. Myers is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
