Derek X. Gandy is an associate in the Orlando Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Gandy's litigation experience includes conducting more than 50 depositions, participating in court hearings, and drafting a wide range of pleadings, motions, and discovery responses. He has successfully negotiated settlements in contractual disputes and developed legal strategies addressing issues of litigation risk, contract formation, and corporate governance. His approach emphasizes strategic preparation and procedural precision, which has contributed to efficient case resolution and favorable outcomes for his clients.
Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Gandy gained valuable courtroom and litigation support experience as a law clerk, where he supported a caseload of over 300 criminal defense matters. He was responsible for client intake, legal research, trial preparation, and drafting motions, contributing to streamlined operations and successful verdicts.
Mr. Gandy earned his Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law in May 2018 and a Bachelor of Arts from Southeast Missouri State University.
