Diane Longoria is a partner in the Pensacola office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Longoria has over 25 years of civil litigation experience in federal and state courts, at trial and appellate levels and in formal and informal administrative proceedings.
Prior to joining QPWB, she practiced with a regional law firm in Pensacola, where she concentrated on medical malpractice defense, as well as construction, business, and labor and employment litigation. Previously, she was a name partner of a Pensacola litigation law firm and for many years represented businesses, public entities, and individuals in cases of wrongful death, personal injury, professional malpractice, labor and employment, construction contract disputes, timber rights, identity theft and privacy rights, education law, insurance coverage, creditor/debtor disputes, arts and entertainment contract disputes, copyright infringement, and real estate transaction disputes.
Ms. Longoria also serves as neutral counsel to handle and prepare Qualified Domestic Relations Order and Domestic Relations Orders for splitting private and public entity retirement and pension plans in divorce.
Ms. Longoria received her Juris Doctor from Indiana University School of Law in 1985 and Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude from Sam Houston State University, Huntsville, Texas, in 1977 majoring in English. While in law school, she was the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award for academic excellence achieved in the study of constitutional law.
Ms. Longoria is licensed to practice law in Florida and is a member of The Florida Bar. She is also admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Ms. Longoria is also a member of the Escambia-Santa Rosa Bar Association.
Ms. Longoria is pleased to have advised or provided representation to over one thousand indigent and lower income employees regarding employment and labor issues with private employers, including issues of discrimination, hostile work environment, ADA, retaliation, unequal pay, FLSA, FMLA, state and federal whistleblower claims, severance benefits, unemployment compensation claims and appeals, and workers' compensation claims.
