Dominique Barrett is a partner in the Scottsdale, Arizona office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Barrett is a trial attorney with over 15 years of litigation experience focused on the defense of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, physicians, dentists, hospitals, and other healthcare and long-term care professionals and organizations. Her practice includes the areas of wrongful death, medical malpractice defense, long-term care, products liability, pharmaceuticals, professional liability, automobile accidents, premises liability, dram shop actions and liquor liability defense. Ms. Barrett has extensive first chair jury trial experience. Since commencing her civil practice in 1997, she has litigated over 100 jury trials and arbitrations.
Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Barrett was a partner with a national law firm specializing in healthcare negligence and insurance defense matters. She was a member of the Healthcare Practice Group where she represented healthcare providers and professionals in numerous medical specialties on claims of negligence, alleged elder abuse, and Board Complaints in arbitration, trial and on appeal.
Ms. Barrett received her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver College of Law in 1992 and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Arizona in 1988.
Ms. Barrett is licensed to practice law in Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico. She is a member of the Arizona and New Mexico State Bars and is also admitted in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona. Ms. Barrett also a member of the Arizona Women Lawyers' Association and is a past member of the Arizona State Bar Committee on Professional Liability. She is an appointed Guardian Ad Litem in the Maricopa County Superior Court, Volunteer Lawyers' Project.
In her community, she served on the board of the American Heart Association and as a team member of Habitat for Humanity.
