Donald A. Winningham is an associate in the Farmington Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. With a focus on insurance defense litigation, Mr. Winningham represents individuals, insurance carriers, and businesses in matters involving automobile negligence, premises liability, first-party insurance, general liability, and coverage disputes. His broad litigation background also includes handling complex commercial and contract disputes, property tax and drain assessment appeals, and landlord-tenant matters. He has successfully represented clients before both the Michigan Court of Appeals and the Michigan Supreme Court. Before joining QPWB, Mr. Winningham practiced with prominent defense litigation firms in Ann Arbor and Detroit, where he refined his expertise in civil litigation and appellate advocacy.
In 2004, Mr. Winningham earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kalamazoo College, received in 2001. During law school, he gained valuable experience through internships with the United States Attorney's Office in Grand Rapids and the Department of Justice in Detroit, deepening his commitment to public service and the pursuit of justice.
Mr. Winningham is licensed to practice in Michigan. Outside the courtroom, he is an avid University of Michigan football fan, musician in a southern rock band, and youth baseball coach. He enjoys camping, hiking, and spending time with his wife, Amanda, and their five children.
