Donna Chapman serves as the Managing Partner of the New Mexico Hub for Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. With over two decades of litigation experience, Ms. Chapman brings extensive trial expertise and leadership to the firm. Her practice is concentrated in civil litigation with a focus on catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, and insurance bad faith. She has successfully defended insurers and their insureds in complex matters involving significant exposure and technical subject matter. Known for her thorough case evaluation, strategic litigation planning, and clear communication, Ms. Chapman provides clients with practical, results-oriented counsel from pre-suit investigation through trial and resolution.
Leveraging years of experience as a law firm founder and lead trial attorney, Ms. Chapman guided Chapman Law, P.C. through significant growth and a strong litigation presence in New Mexico. Under her leadership, the firm grew from three to twelve attorneys and became known for its client-first culture and litigation excellence throughout New Mexico. Before founding her own firm, she served as managing shareholder at a mid-sized litigation practice, where she oversaw a team of approximately 30 attorneys. In addition to leading complex litigation matters, she implemented forward-thinking compensation and retention strategies that strengthened attorney development and enhanced long-term organizational stability.
Ms. Chapman's philosophy reflects her early experience in human resources at, managing employment disputes, employee relations, performance improvement plans, and terminations. Her foundation shows her ability to counsel corporate clients beyond the courtroom, offering guidance on organizational structure, mitigate risk, and business development strategies. Her career has been defined by both courtroom wins, and meaningful, long-term client relationships built on trust, transparency, and results.
As a graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Law, Ms. Chapman earned her Juris Doctor in 1999. She holds a Bachelor of Business Management from Northwood University, earned the same year, equipping her with a strong understanding of business operations and strategic management. In addition, she completed Associate of Arts degrees in accounting and business management from New Mexico State University,
Admitted to practice in New Mexico, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, Ms. Chapman is an active member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC), NAMWOLF, the Defense Research Institute (DRI), and the American Bar Association (ABA).
