Dustyn W. Sams is an associate in the Lexington hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. His experience spans multiple areas, including insurance defense, government law, toxic torts, medical malpractice defense, construction litigation, labor and employment, and catastrophic loss.
Representing a wide range of clients in tort and government liability matters, Mr. Sams acted as a member of the Government Law and Tort /Catastrophic Loss Practice, primarily serving insurance defense clients while at his previous firm. Additionally, his experience includes judicial internships with Judge Eugene Siler Jr. of the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and Judge Lucy VanMeter of the Fayette County Circuit Court.
Mr. Sams obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky Rosenberg College of Law, where he was involved with the Kentucky Law Journal, Moot Court, and served as Chief Justice of the UK SGA Supreme Court. In 2020, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of the Cumberlands.
A published author, Mr. Sams has written on topics such as the public trust doctrine, wildlife conservation, and tort litigation involving autonomous vehicles. He also has a strong commitment to community service, having completed over 2,000 hours, and participated in multiple mission trips abroad.
Mr. Sams is licensed to practice law in Kentucky.
