Eddie L. Holiday, III is an associate in the Miami Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. His practice is focused on complex commercial litigation, business disputes, insurance defense, real estate litigation, and high-exposure tort claims. He has represented Global 500 companies in state and federal courts, handling intricate business matters involving breach of contract, shareholder disputes, product liability, fraud, and real estate litigation.
With extensive litigation experience, Mr. Holiday has conducted over 20 bench trials and 53 jury trials to verdict. He has managed all aspects of litigation, from pre-suit negotiations and discovery to dispositive motion practice, trial advocacy, and appeals. His work includes arguing motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, and post-trial motions. He has also taken and defended depositions of lay and expert witnesses, represented clients in mediation, and negotiated favorable settlements in high-stakes disputes.
Before transitioning to civil litigation, Mr. Holiday served as an Assistant State Attorney in the Career Criminal and Robbery Unit, prosecuting violent crimes, complex financial crimes, and firearm-related offenses. He collaborated with federal and state law enforcement agencies and mentored new prosecutors. His trial background and deep understanding of courtroom strategy make him a formidable advocate for clients in both civil and business litigation.
Mr. Holiday earned his Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law, where he received multiple merit-based scholarships and served on the Charles Hamilton Houston National Moot Court Team. As a student attorney in the Criminal Justice Clinic, he gained early litigation experience handling pre-trial motions and evidentiary hearings. He graduated magna cum laude from Howard University with a Bachelor of Arts, earning honors for his work in legal research.
Recognized as a leader in his field, Mr. Holiday has been named to the National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 and Daily Business Review's 40 Under 40 Rising Stars. He is an active member of the Miami-Dade Bar Association and serves on the Board of Directors for the League of Prosecutors, where he will be President for the 2024-2025 term.
Licensed to practice law in Florida, Mr. Holiday is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. He frequently presents at legal conferences on topics such as jury selection discrimination, corporate compliance, and litigation strategy.
