Elijah Philpot is an associate in the Glendale office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Philpot brings a robust background in courtroom advocacy, case development, and strategic research to the firm. He focuses his practice on construction defect litigation, personal injury defense, premises liability defense, and civil litigation.
Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Philpot served as an associate attorney at a firm in Poway, California, where he managed construction defect and bodily injury litigation. In this role, he handled the drafting of key pleadings, managed extensive discovery processes, analyzed complex expert reports and medical records to shape case strategies, and actively prepared matters for trial. He also coordinated communications across multiple stakeholders, including clients, expert witnesses, insurers, and opposing counsel.
Drawing on a strong foundation in civil defense, his background includes tenure as an associate attorney at a boutique civil litigation firm in Murrieta, California, where he defended premises liability matters from initial intake through final resolution. Earlier in his career, he served as a Deputy District Attorney for the Riverside County District Attorney's Office, handling discovery requests, motions, pretrial hearings, and trials for both juvenile quasi-criminal and misdemeanor criminal litigation.
Notably, Mr. Philpot gained early judicial insight as a judicial intern for the U.S. District Judge Jason Pulliam in San Antonio, Texas, where he reviewed court orders, researched precedent case law, and prepared bench memoranda. His unique background also includes serving as a Joint Constituent Liaison in the U.S. Senate, managing complex immigration, refugee, and asylum casework.
He earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2024. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with an emphasis on National Security Studies and Global Politics, from Utah Valley University in 2021.
