Elizabeth Perkins is a partner in the New Mexico Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Perkins is a highly experienced civil litigator with a proven track record of defending individuals, businesses, and insurers in high-stakes cases across New Mexico. With a comprehensive understanding of both state and federal court procedures, in class action data breach litigation and product liability defense, Ms. Perkins practice extends to a wide range of complex litigation matters, such as personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability, employment discrimination, civil rights violations, insurance bad faith, construction defect, breach of contract, and medical and dental malpractice defense.
Over the course of her career, Ms. Perkins has served as lead counsel in numerous matters involving depositions of fact witnesses, expert witnesses, and corporate representatives. She has prepared and argued dispositive motions, managed discovery in multi-party disputes, and handled all phases of litigation from case intake through appeal. Her writing portfolio includes appellate briefs, mediation position statements, cross-complaints, settlement agreements, and detailed legal analysis reports. She has represented clients before the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and achieved multiple appellate victories in the New Mexico Court of Appeals, affirming favorable outcomes in claims involving negligence, wrongful termination, and contract disputes.
Before entering private practice, Ms. Perkins gained valuable litigation experience as a law clerk, assisting with legal research, complex motion drafting, and medical record analysis. Her early career was marked by accelerated growth, including taking approximately 20 depositions within her first year of practice.
Earning her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of New Mexico School of Law, Ms. Perkins served on the New Mexico Law Review as a citation editor and received CALI Awards for excellence in legal writing. Her academic honors include multiple placements on the Dean's List and a Health Law Scholarship from the New Mexico Bar Association. She extended her education with a Master of Public Health from A.T. Still University in 2015, and a dual Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from the University of New Mexico.
Ms. Perkins is licensed to practice law in New Mexico and Arizona and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Beyond her litigation practice, Ms. Perkins is an engaged member of her legal community, serving on the Board of the New Mexico Defense Lawyers Association (NMDLA).

- Watson v. Addus Healthcare, Inc., No. A-1-CA-38913, 2023 N.M. App. Unpub. LEXIS 28 (Ct. App. Jan. 23, 2023). Affirming the district court's granting of Defendants' Motion to Dismiss for Failure to State a Claim in negligence suit.
- Kirklewski v. Cmty. Fin. Serv. Ctr., Inc., No. A-1-CA-38579, 2022 N.M. App. Unpub. LEXIS 115, at *1 (Ct. App. Mar. 31, 2022). Affirming the district court's granting of Defendants' Motion for Summary Judgment in wrongful termination suit.
- Crockett v. Northland Links LLC et al., No. A-1-CA-39964, 2023 WL 4235726 (Ct. App. June 28, 2023). Affirming the district court's granting of Defendants' Motion for Summary Judgment on wrongful eviction and breach of contract suit.
