Elizabeth T. Chesek is an associate in the Orlando Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., where her practice focuses on general liability, medical malpractice defense, and matters involving long-term care facilities. She represents healthcare providers, insurers, and corporate entities in claims ranging from nursing home negligence to complex personal injury disputes.
Ms. Chesek's litigation background includes supporting attorneys in matters involving medical malpractice, nursing home and assisted living facility negligence, and a broad range of civil disputes. She has drafted pleadings and motions, reviewed medical records, prepared discovery responses, assisted in mediations, and contributed to case strategy across several high-exposure matters. Her work has also extended to defamation and contract-based disputes, where she supported trial preparation, managed case materials, and participated in the development of litigation approaches tailored to each client's needs.
Throughout law school, Ms. Chesek excelled academically and stepped into leadership roles that enhanced her legal writing and analytical skills. She conducted research on issues related to violence against women and served as a mentor to more than 150 first-year students, providing guidance in legal research, writing, and citation. These experiences strengthened her ability to break down complex legal concepts with clarity and precision, skills that now elevate her practice and the clients she represents.
Licensed to practice law in Florida, Ms. Chesek also brings a service-oriented perspective to her work, having volunteered with IDignity to help individuals obtain identification documents needed for employment and essential services.
