Erica M. Tuff is an associate in the Atlanta Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. With a practice centered in personal injury, workers' compensation, and corporate defense, Ms. Tuff has gained nearly two decades of industry knowledge and has built a dynamic career managing high-volume caseloads. Guiding clients through every stage of the litigation process, she handles complex civil matters, from intake and investigation to mediation and resolution.
Ms. Tuff's background includes significant work in both plaintiff and defense litigation. She has taken and defended depositions, conducted detailed case evaluations, drafted and argued motions, and negotiated favorable outcomes in mediations. In the area of workers' compensation, she provided direct defense counsel and litigation strategy to insurance carriers and employers in cases filed with the State Board. Her role involved conducting claimant depositions, coordinating with administrative law judges on contested matters, and identifying viable legal and factual defenses. She successfully mediated numerous claims on behalf of employers and insurers, resolving matters efficiently.
In earlier roles, Ms. Tuff was instrumental in establishing a firm's personal injury department, including designing policies, templates, and case management systems. She also supervised legal staff, provided training, and led weekly meetings to improve client service. Her corporate legal experience includes reviewing and drafting domestic and international franchise agreements, managing compliance filings, handling licensing across multiple jurisdictions, and preparing EEOC responses.
Ms. Tuff earned her Juris Doctor from Charlotte School of Law and holds a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University School of Law; both gained in 2011. Prior to law school, she received her Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University.
Licensed to practice law in Georgia, Ms. Tuff has been actively involved in community service throughout her career, including roles as a volunteer attorney with the Cobb County Children in Need of Services Truancy Court Program, Big Sister and Secretary of the Junior Leadership Council Board for Big Brothers Big Sisters Atlanta, volunteer with Solidarity Sandy Springs, and former President of the Advisory Council for The Drake House.
