Erin R. Katz is an associate in the Farmington Hills Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Bringing over 15 years of litigation experience, Ms. Katz represents clients across a broad range of areas, including premises liability, transportation defense, banking litigation, personal injury protection (PIP), and complex real estate matters. Her practice is concentrated in the litigation of general negligence, wrongful death, utility construction, product liability, subrogation, trucking/transportation, and first- and third-party auto negligence.
Ms. Katz manages all aspects of civil litigation, including client relations, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances, with a focus on tri-county practice. She has also represented clients in condominium and real estate disputes, as well as complex financial and title litigation, earning recognition for her ability to deliver strategic outcomes. In both state and federal courts, Ms. Katz has guided clients through all phases of litigation. She has been recognized for her accomplishments in both 2022 and 2023 for Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Litigation - Banking and Finance. Ms. Katz's casework reflects her versatility as a litigator, spanning from complex financial and title disputes to catastrophic loss and liability defense.
Ms. Katz earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2008, where she graduated in the top six percent of her class and served as Managing Editor of the Law Review. During law school, she received Certificates of Merit in Sales & Negotiable Instruments, Pre-Trial Skills, and Trial Skills. In 2004, she completed her Bachelor of Arts in English Language & Literature, with a minor in the Language, Literature, & Culture of Ancient Rome, from the University of Michigan.
Licensed to practice law in Michigan, Ms. Katz is admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. She is also an active member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Oakland County Bar Association.
