Ms. Young is an accomplished trial attorney and first-chair counsel who brings more than 17 years of extensive litigation experience and a record of approximately 150 jury trials to verdict. Ms. Young has built a diverse legal career spanning executive in-house leadership, public service, and private practice. Prior to joining QPWB, she served as General Counsel for a prominent life-science incubator in Mountain View, California, where she managed millions of dollars in active litigation across employment, contract, and tenancy matters. In this role, she actively directed defense strategies, handled complex motions practice, and secured a notable first-chair defense win in a four-week California Superior Court employment trial. Her corporate legal background also includes founding and serving as principal legal advisor for multiple early-stage technology companies, where she established essential risk-management protocols and dispute-readiness infrastructure.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Young spent seven years serving as a Deputy and Assistant District Attorney for the State of California. During her tenure in public service, she managed high-volume dockets and led over a hundred jury trials to verdict, developing deep command of voir dire, witness preparation, evidentiary objections, and courtroom advocacy. In private practice, she expanded her litigation profile by representing clients in employment matters before the EEOC, the California Civil Rights Department, and the California Labor Commissioner.
Beyond traditional litigation, Ms. Young leverages a sophisticated understanding of emerging technology, having constructed liability exposure frameworks and data privacy risk assessments for Fortune 500 enterprises launching AI-enabled products. She is also a published author on workplace AI utilization and strategies.
Ms. Young earned her Juris Doctor from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco in 2001 and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley in 1994. She also holds an Executive MBA specializing in US Business Law and AI Business Transformation from the Quantic School of Business & Technology.
She is licensed to practice law in California.
