Frances Dourvetakis is an associate in the Fort Lauderdale office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A.. Ms. Dourvetakis brings a robust background in insurance defense and complex civil litigation, with significant experience evaluating coverage obligations and managing high-volume caseloads across state and federal jurisdictions. She focuses her practice on insurance coverage, construction litigation, premises liability, appellate, general liability, wrongful death, and personal injury protection (PIP).
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Dourvetakis served as an associate attorney where she specialized in analyzing intricate insurance policies to determine potential exposure and drafting detailed coverage opinions. Her professional experience includes representing design professionals, developers, and contractors in multifaceted construction disputes from inception through trial. Additionally, she has managed matters involving wrongful death, appellate support, and medical billing disputes related to Florida's PIP statutes.
Throughout her career, Ms. Dourvetakis has demonstrated expertise in all phases of the litigation process, including extensive legal research, discovery management, and counseling both insurers and the insured on risk management strategies. While in law school, she independently managed a high volume of case files and gained early exposure to personal injury protection by drafting complaints and demand letters.
Ms. Dourvetakis earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the St. Thomas University College of Law in 2022, where she also received a certificate in Intellectual Property Law. During her legal studies, she served as the Articles Editor for the St. Thomas Law Review and was a member of the St. Thomas Moot Court. She also holds a Master of Business Administration with Honors Distinction from St. Thomas University and a Bachelor of Arts from Florida International University.
She is licensed to practice law in Florida.
