Gene A. Pinkus is the Managing Partner of the Merrillville Hub for Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Pinkus focuses his practice on representing insurance carriers in first-party fraud litigation defense and consumer fraud matters. He has conducted thousands of examinations under oath in fire, homeowners, and auto claims for many of the nation's leading insurers. His practice also includes handling complex business fraud investigations.
Mr. Pinkus brings extensive trial experience across a broad range of litigation matters, including first-party fraud, consumer fraud involving auto dealerships, product liability, premises liability, construction disputes, civil rights claims, employment discrimination, professional contract disputes, real estate E&O and agency matters, and general business litigation. He is frequently selected by insurers to serve on arbitration panels. Earlier in his career, he focused on workers' compensation and managed intricate claims for insurance carriers and self-insured entities.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Pinkus plays an active leadership role in firm operations and client relationships across Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and Michigan. He regularly advises on litigation management strategies and alternative billing solutions. He is also a frequent speaker on topics such as bad faith claims and first-party insurance fraud at national conferences, including the Annual NSPII Advanced Insurance Fraud Seminar.
Mr. Pinkus is a long-standing contributor to the Northern Indiana legal and business community. He has been featured in Indiana Lawyer for his leadership during challenging economic times and was recognized in Building Indiana magazine's "Who's Who in Northern Indiana" (2009 & 2010) for his role in advancing regional business and community initiatives. Outside the office, Mr. Pinkus has dedicated many years to coaching youth basketball, soccer, and baseball, and has provided pro bono support to local sports organizations throughout Northwest Indiana.
