George "Chip" H. Rieger, II is an associate in the Nashville office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. With over 30 years of legal practice, Mr. Rieger specializes in labor and employment matters, offering a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Mr. Rieger also has extensive experience in various other areas of law, including civil litigation, premises liability, products liability, automotive liability, retail and hospitality, commercial litigation, and workers' compensation defense.

Mr. Rieger has extensive experience in the field of labor and employment law. He has a proven track record representing management in a wide range of cases involving Title VII harassment and discrimination, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), nation-wide state law discrimination matters, wage and hour disputes, employment contracts, non-compete agreements, Employment Practice Liability (EPL) and unemployment compensation claims.

Before joining QPWB, Mr. Rieger founded and managed a full-service civil litigation firm. In addition to providing corporate counseling in employment matters, he assisted clients in creating human resource tools for effective management. His caseload encompassed retail and hospitality, employment law, commercial litigation, premises and products liability, transportation and workers' compensation.

Prior to founding his practice, Mr. Rieger served as a managing member at a prominent regional law firm in Nashville overseeing operations and managing litigation teams focusing on employment and tort defense litigation. He actively engaged in lecture series and was a member of an international law firm association dedicated to client development.

At the beginning of his legal career, Mr. Rieger worked as an associate at a boutique labor and employment firm. During this time, he gained valuable experience in collective bargaining agreement negotiations and provided comprehensive representation to management in labor and employment disputes.

Throughout his extensive legal career, Mr. Rieger has cultivated a vast network of law firm referrals, spanning cities across the United States, Canada, South America, Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa. He is highly sought after as a dynamic public speaker and has authored various human resource tools, including employee handbooks, personnel manuals, drug testing policies, employment contracts and non-compete agreements.

Mr. Rieger earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 1993 and received his Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Tennessee in 1989.

Mr. Rieger is admitted to practice law in Tennessee and is licensed in all state and federal courts in the state, including the Sixth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. He maintains active membership in the Tennessee and Nashville Bar Associations, further demonstrating his commitment to professional excellence and staying connected within the legal community.
