Giuseppe "Joe" Castaldi is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., With over three decades of legal experience, Mr. Castaldi is a seasoned civil litigation attorney, with a focus on insurance claims and personal injury actions. His expertise extends to a diverse range of cases, including premises liability, motor vehicle accidents (auto, truck, and motorcycles), and construction site accidents. Additionally, he handles professional liability errors and omissions cases related to real estate and cemetery/mortuary matters, as well as construction defect cases.
Before joining QPWB, Mr. Castaldi served as senior counsel for a prominent national civil litigation insurance defense law firm. In this capacity, he independently managed cases from insurer-client assignment to trial. He took charge of critical aspects in litigation process, including drafting litigation plans, creating litigation budgets, preparing premeditation, pre-trial, and trial reports, and skillfully conducting over one hundred lay and expert witness depositions. His role involved advising insurance carrier clients on complex coverage matters, providing comprehensive insurance coverage analysis, handling reservation of rights, and issuing coverage denials.
Previously, Mr. Castaldi held a significant leadership position as a managing senior partner at an insurance litigation defense firm. During this period, he successfully handled personal injury and property damage lawsuits from their inception to conclusion, showcasing his proficiency in every facet of the case.
Mr. Castaldi has also represented private clients in various legal domains, including family law, criminal law, and business transactions. He displayed a versatile approach to his practice, ensuring his clients received sound legal counsel for diverse matters. He actively pursued insurance subrogation suits for property damage recovery claims assigned by insurance companies, earning him valuable experience in bench and jury trials.
Mr. Castaldi obtained his Juris Doctor in 1975 from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles California and his Bachelor of Science from Loyola University in 1972, majoring in English.
He is licensed to practice law in California and is admitted to the U.S. District Court and the Central District of California.
