Grace E. Murtada is an associate in the Miami office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. She focuses her practice on workers' compensation defense in the representation of employers, self-insured employers, and insurance carriers throughout Florida. Her practice also includes labor and employment law, and first and third party insurance defense. Ms. Murtada works with claims examiners, risk management personnel, adjusters, and litigation specialists to resolve disputes and finalize claims.
Before joining QPWB, Ms. Murtada served as in-house counsel for the workers' compensation claims department of an insurance company where she presented and litigated cases before Judges of Compensation Claims. Throughout her career, she has defended claims on behalf of insurance carriers, servicing agents and self-insured employers in the area of workers' compensation. Her experience includes working with various South Florida law firms handling workers' compensation claims and working as independent counsel to insurance companies performing case analysis, consultation and client representation at hearings on personal injury claims.
Ms. Murtada received her Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2003 and a Bachelor of Arts from Florida International University in 1992 with a major in business administration.
Ms. Murtada is licensed to practice law in Florida and the District of Columbia. She is admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida and U.S. Supreme Court.
