Isabel Bettina Velasquez is an associate in the Los Angeles Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Velasquez practice centers on business-driven litigation and regulatory matters, with experience spanning securities issues, corporate governance, and complex financial disputes. She brings a strong foundation in legal research, drafting, and strategic analysis, allowing her to approach each matter with precision.
Her background includes hands-on experience with federal regulatory and compliance work, where she analyzed securities fraud and market abuse claims, evaluated public company disclosures, and constructed insider trading timelines based on transactional and financial filings. She has drafted pleadings, motions, and discovery materials, and developed case strategies informed by financial data, risk assessment, and procedural insight. Her work reflects a strong ability to manage dense records, identify critical issues, and build clear legal narratives in matters involving both corporate and financial complexity.
Ms. Velasquez also brings experience in judicial and academic environments, assisting in the development of legal scholarship and supporting court proceedings through bench memoranda, case law analysis, and litigation preparation. These experiences sharpened her attention to detail and reinforced her ability to support complex litigation posture from both practitioner and judicial perspectives.
Ms. Velasquez obtained her Juris Doctor from LMU Loyola Law School with a concentration in Corporate Law. During law school, she earned high marks in advanced coursework including Securities Regulation, Privacy Torts, Business Planning, and Venture Capital Financing. Before attending law school, she received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, magna cum laude, from Loyola Marymount University, with a minor in Asian and Pacific Studies, where she was recognized for academic excellence and campus leadership.
Licensed to practice law in California, Ms. Velasquez also contributes her time to community-focused causes through volunteer work with the United Nations and the Business Law Corps. Outside of her practice, she enjoys hiking in Hawaii, traveling throughout Asia and Europe, and reading historical fiction.
