His expertise includes personal injury, premises liability, and first-party property matters. Mr. Mayer works closely with lead counsel to develop comprehensive trial strategies and ensure thorough trial preparation.

With the remarkable ability to interpret and effectively communicate insurance policies to insurers, claims adjusters, and insured parties, Mr. Mayer applies first-party property and general liability principles to assess liability and potential exposure during pre-litigation consultations with insurers and claims adjusters. Beyond his insurance defense focus, Mr. Mayer has successfully represented criminal defendants in a diverse range of cases, including misdemeanors and felonies. He persistently defends clients' Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendment constitutional rights. Mr. Mayer takes pride in fostering a client-centered environment, delivering exceptional service, and promptly resolving client concerns.

As an Assistant to the Public Defender for the 19th Circuit Public Defender's Office, Mr. Mayer served as lead counsel in contested criminal and delinquency jury and bench trials, as well as numerous Involuntary Commitment Hearings under Florida Statute ? 394.467. He managed a high volume of cases, overseeing two courtrooms simultaneously in preparation for trials, hearings, depositions, and negotiations. Throughout, he maintained unwavering dedication to advocacy, attention to detail, and courtroom etiquette. Mr. Mayer conducted extensive legal research on federal and state laws, Florida Rules of Juvenile and Criminal Procedure, Evidence, and Florida's Mental Health Act ("the Baker Act") to enhance trial advocacy and motion practice, especially in complex legal matters such as Stand Your Ground, suppression, sentencing, dismissal, and post-conviction hearings.

In May of 2020, Mr. Mayer earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Barry University School of Law, ranking in the top 15 percent of his class. In 2017, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Missouri, majoring in philosophy.
