Jacob Perez is an associate in the Miami Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. His practice is grounded in civil litigation, insurance defense, and estate planning, with additional proficiency in intellectual property and contract disputes.
With a foundation built through extensive motion practice and trial preparation, his experience includes drafting and arguing dispositive and pre-trial motions, conducting depositions, and representing clients in mediation and arbitration. Prior to joining the firm, he served as in-house counsel for a major insurance company, where he managed complex litigation matters and supervised legal staff to ensure timely and strategic case development. His practice also includes representing individuals and businesses in estate planning and commercial matters, where he has prepared trusts, wills, and business agreements, ensuring his clients' interests are protected across multiple areas of law.
A proud alumnus of the University of Miami School of Law, Mr. Perez earned his Juris Doctor in 2023, supported by a Dean's Merit Scholarship. He graduated summa cum laude from Florida International University's Honors College with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, and previously earned an Associate of Arts in Philosophy from Miami Dade College, where he was recognized as the Most Outstanding Student in Philosophy.
Mr. Perez is admitted to practice law in the state of Florida and is fluent in Spanish. Outside the courtroom, he enjoys studying theology and church history, playing the piano, and exploring sound engineering.
