James Andrew "Drew" Brooks is a partner in the Atlanta office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. where he brings his extensive expertise as a civil litigation attorney to serve a diverse clientele. With over 7 years in practice, Drew has firmly established himself as a trusted advocate for fiduciaries, beneficiaries, healthcare providers, hospitals, long-term care facilities, and risk management clients. His areas of specialization encompass medical malpractice defense, long-term care defense, fiduciary litigation, transportation, as well as general litigation matters.
Throughout his career, Drew has successfully defended hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and medical professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other long-term care providers, in a wide array of legal matters. His experience ranges from pre-suit negotiations to handling complex lawsuits and arbitrations, spanning both Georgia state and federal district courts, as well as appellate work in state and federal courts.
In addition to his experience in healthcare litigation, Drew has significant experience in estate and fiduciary litigation. He has provided invaluable representation, support, and guidance to Fiduciaries, Executors, Administrators, and Beneficiaries involved in contentious probate, state, and superior court cases, including appellate work in this field as well.
In 2016, Drew earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law after receiving his Bachelor of Science from UGA in 2013.
Drew is licensed to practice law in Georgia, the Court of Appeals of Georgia, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of Georgia, as well as various federal courts, including the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia.
Drew is an active member of the legal community and is associated with several professional organizations in which he is a member including the Columbus, Georgia Inn of Court and the Columbus Bar Association.
