Jan C. Trendowski is a partner in the Jacksonville office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. As a Board-Certified Specialist in Civil Trial Law, Mr. Trendowski excels in handling complex personal injury defense and insurance coverage disputes, focusing on commercial auto and general liability cases at both trial and appellate levels.
Mr. Trendowski has practiced at several reputable firms, including his own, specializing in personal injury litigation. He has tried over 120 jury trials to verdict and represented clients in thousands of cases throughout his career. In addition to jury trials, Mr. Trendowski has managed numerous arbitrations, appeals, and administrative hearings. While his current caseload primarily involves personal injury litigation from accidents and collisions, his expertise spans medical malpractice claims, dental practice, insurance disputes, business and commercial litigation, alternative dispute resolution, and large construction defects.
Mr. Trendowski graduated cum laude from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor's degree in English Language, Literature, and General Studies. He pursued his legal studies at Western New England School of Law, earning his Juris Doctorate in 1983.
Licensed to practice in state and federal courts in Florida, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts, Mr. Trendowski is also a frequent lecturer, invited to speak at numerous Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars on trial techniques and hospitality law.
In 2020, Mr. Trendowski was appointed to the Florida Bar Evidence Statutes and Rules Committee. His accolades include being named to the Connecticut Super Lawyers List (2010, 2013-2016), Top Attorneys in Connecticut (2011, 2014, 2015), and Top Attorneys in New England (2010, 2013, 2015).
Beyond his practice, Mr. Trendowski serves as the Legal Director for the National Bikers Against Animal Cruelty, a volunteer organization dedicated to helping injured and abused animals for over eight years.
