Jason K. Ruggerio is an associate at Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Ruggerio is a member of the firm's Business, Financial Services & Real Estate Division, where he represents public and private creditors in commercial collection matters. His practice includes extensive experience across all areas of civil litigation, including mediation and arbitration, with a strong focus on creditor rights, financial services litigation, and contested commercial matters.
Mr. Ruggerio brings nearly two decades of experience managing complex commercial and consumer litigation portfolios on behalf of original creditors, mortgage lenders, servicers, investors, and debt buyers. He routinely handles matters from pre-suit analysis through trial, including discovery, depositions, hearings, arbitrations, and non-jury trials. His litigation background allows him to strategically evaluate risk, negotiate favorable resolutions, and advocate effectively in contested proceedings.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ruggerio served in senior and managing attorney roles where he oversaw high-volume litigation caseloads, managed compliance and regulatory issues, and trained and supervised associate attorneys. His experience includes representing financial institutions in mortgage-related litigation, title disputes, breach of contract claims, bankruptcy-related matters, and consumer financial litigation across multiple jurisdictions. He has also negotiated complex settlements, addressed regulatory agency inquiries, and developed internal training and compliance programs.
In 2006, Mr. Ruggerio received his Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where he received a Certificate of Merit in New York Comparative Procedures and completed advanced mediation training. Before law school, he earned his Bachelor of Arts from Utica College of Syracuse University in 2001.
Mr. Ruggerio is admitted to practice law in Illinois, Florida, and Michigan.
